AM06 pro - 3.5 Microphone jack issue

Post by Kolemjdouci »

Hi,

I have an issue with connecting 3,5 jack microphone to front AUDIO jack.

On the landing page is clearly stated that it is supported.

I did fresh windows install, so driver issue is possible.

How to make it work? Thank you in advance

What is the actual issue?

Does the port not work at all? Output works, but input doesn't? Input works, but output doesn't? Something else?

If it's the input, in the Windows audio settings have you made sure that it's changed to the input device being used? Remember, this unit has a built in microphone, so it may be defaulting to that.

I have RODE Lavalier GO with 3,5 jack. I want to connect it to the front jack and record audio with audacity for instance. At the first place i did see only Microphone array from AMD (Integrated mice) and that working well. Then I downloaded drivers and unfortunately the provided package is mess for me but tried install some and got another input as USB Audio Device which does not provide any microphone signal (quite).

1. I tried uninstall all audio related drivers from Device Manager and load drivers from driver file i got from official google drive file.
2. I tested port with Headphones and the port can send audio to my headphones.
3. I have 2 RODE microphones tested on another computer to be sure that they are working.
4. Restarted pc multiple times.

I think I need to check if I have correct driver and then know the name of Input device to use in Audacity. Or I missing something entirely.... By my experience from MSI Cubi I have to manually select if inserted jack is Mic/Headphones/Front speaker..... With AM06 there is no such a prompt when inserting jack.

I am sorry if something is not clear, doing my best!

So I make it work with this reduction. Is there way to configurate the port to be usable without this reduction?

1. According to the provided Device Manager screenshot analysis, the microphone driver is operating correctly.

2. Since the AM06Pro front panel includes a built-in microphone, if you encounter issues with other microphones, it is recommended to navigate to "Settings" → "System" → "Sound" → "Input" and switch to another device.

3. If you encounter difficulties recording sound in applications, it is advisable to first test the microphone using the operating system's built-in recording app to verify if it can capture sound. If the recording app successfully captures sound but other applications cannot, check the settings of those applications.
