AK1 - WiFi signal issues

Hello. Wondering if there are suggested solutions for poor Wi-Fi signal strength on the AK1 units. A laptop sitting next to the unit gets 200 mbps download signal while the AK1 only gets 20-30 mbps. I really like the compact design of the AK1 if there are no solutions for the unit are there any peripheral devices I can connect to improve the signal? The modem/router is across the room and no real way for a wired connection. Look forward to your response.
