Install Ubuntu 20.04LTS on an ACEPC AK1 ssd disk

I need install Ubuntu into my ACEPC AK1.
I installed a ssd disk 2,5" (Kingston A400 240Gb) and I done two partition (NTFS for windows and unformatted for Ubuntu).
I want install Ubuntu into the unformatted partition because I want not touch the original disk in case of crash and recovery, but the ssd disk isn't recognized by Ubuntu install program, while is regularly recognized by windows.
How can I do what I've in mind? Reading on the web I found it can be due to AHCI mode not selected in the BIOS: is it true? And if it is, how can I select AHCI mode (The BIOS advanced settings seem to be blocked)?
Thanks a lot.
