Bluetooth drops out using wireless headphones

Hi all.
I have a ACEPC Mini PC Windows 10 Pro, 8GB DDR4/128GB ROM, Intel Celeron J4125 Processor and when I pair my bluetooth headphones the signal drops out every few seconds.
The headphones are fine with my phone or other bluetooth devices. The range just seems non existant
No other bluetooth dives are connected. I do have the PC under a desk with a glass top but from what I've read this shouldn't cause too much of a problem. See pic
