Hi folks,
this is a question before purchase. I am looking into buying a T6 to accompany the growing computer zoo and for that specific requirement plain Windows10 in its current version is needed as foundation. As I read there were quite some nasty problems with past Windows version the deciding question:
Did anybody manage to make a Windows10 clean install from the Microsoft ISO 20H2 and did the drivers all work, or how to load them after?
Anybody successfully installed Win10(20H2) on T6 ?
Re: Anybody successfully installed Win10(20H2) on T6 ?
I doubt any model from ACEPC will allow a fresh official Windows 10 install. ACEPC seems to only allow their modified version. I have never had a PC that will not accept a fresh official windows install.

Rudi452,
While ACEPC suggests using their version because theirs comes with the drivers as a part of the installation, you can perform a fresh/clean install using installation media created by using Microsoft's Media Creation Tool if you like. The difference is that you'll have to install at least some drivers manually.
You can find the drivers for the T6 here...
https://mega.nz/file/8oJBWAJB#vmAmmdiGG ... Gf5sXlVXM8
The driver installation tutorial is here...
https://mega.nz/file/Q4whEQYQ#dofk3-aJM ... aYf_huS9D4
You can also save the drivers from the existing Windows installation on the T6 after setup, but before performing the clean install of the new version. You can find the driver folder in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore. The folder you want to save is "FileRepository", and it's in that DriverStore folder. You'd want to save the FileRepository folder in its entirety. It will contain all of the drivers for the T6, and you can use that saved folder for the search when installing a needed driver after the clean install. If you select that saved folder to search in, it will automatically find the correct driver for the one you're trying to install and install it.

Balastrea,
I've performed clean installs of W10 20H2 on my GK1, AK3 and W8 Pro. The W8 Pro is very similar to the T6, but not in the stick configuration like the T6. The installation went fine, as did the driver installations. I never upgrade in place. I always perform a clean install using media created with the aforementioned Media Creation Tool. I do save a system image of the current install before performing the clean install, however, just in case anything goes wrong. I also save the DriverStore folder, as mentioned above, to reinstall the needed drivers on the new install.
Hope this helps.

Gabe,
thank you very much. I'll give the little thing a try and see how I can handle it.
Btw, your first link to drivers worked, but the second to tutorial is dead.

Btw, is the Windows10Pro key stored on the machine or does it come extra on a card board?

Rudi452,
The Windows 10 Pro product key is embedded the BIOS, so activation will be automatic when the unit is connected to the internet.
Edit: Sorry about the installation tutorial. I don't know if they've moved it elsewhere, such as to Google Drive. Hopefully the admin will say where it is now, both so you and anyone reading this can have access to it, and so I can update my ACEPC related shortcuts for when others need it. I'll PM him too. If I get a new URL for it or find out any info, I'll let you know.

Gabe,
thank you very much for assistance!
Btw, do you happen to know whether the T6 is able to start from microSD card?
I do have a windows installer copy on one and no big enough USB stick available.

Regarding the micro SD card question, I'm not sure. It might work. You can press F7 on system startup to get to the Boot Menu, then if you see it there you can select it to try.

Rudi452,
I contacted the admin about the driver installation tutorial issue and he uploaded it again, but this time to Google Drive instead of Mega. In case it helps, or for anyone else who reads this thread and needs it, you can see it here...
Also, when hovering over the upper right of the video you can click on the little white box that says "Pop-out". This will take you directly to the Google Drive site so you can instead watch it there or download it to your device.

@Gabe : could you find another place for the tutorial?
There is no way I am going to get a googledrive link through security here on this network.
