What kind of app/program are you using to measure the CPU use? Remember, the knob doesn't automatically set the CPU wattage, but rather what the CPU is capable of in that setting. IOW, unless the CPU is being used full out, it won't be at that wattage for the particular setting.

A recommendation is using CPU-Z to temporarily stress the CPU in the particular knob setting, and Core Temp to view what the wattage shows while it is being stressed.

Regarding the lighting control, have you installed the program?

After the program is installed and you have it running, does clicking on one of the other options not change the LED to the one clicked on?

I don't have an AM08 Pro, though I do have an AMR5, which has a similar program to control the LED lighting.

I'm not sure if the AM08 Pro is like the AMR5, but on the latter it reverts back to the default light output when the unit is started after it's been shut down.

Regarding the selector knob issue, someone who does have an AM08 Pro may post some help, but if not, or you just don't feel like waiting for that, you can contact barry, a tech for the company, at barry@minipcunion.com. You can also PM him by clicking on his name in a post (he posted the LED app I linked to).
