Resolving Windows 11 File Explorer Crashes or Slow Response

Common Symptoms:
- File Explorer opens slowly or becomes unresponsive
- File operations are delayed or cannot be completed
- File Explorer crashes

Resolution Steps:

1. Restart File Explorer
- Press `Ctrl + Shift + Esc` to open Task Manager.
- Right-click on "Windows Explorer" and select "Restart."

2. Clear File Explorer Cache
- Open File Explorer, click on "View" > "Options."
- In the "Folder Options" window, click "Clear History."

3. Disable Unnecessary Extensions
- Open the "Registry Editor" (press `Win + R`, type `regedit`).
- Delete unnecessary context menu or property sheet extensions.

4. Run System File Checker (SFC)
- Open "Windows Terminal (Admin)."
- Type the command: `sfc /scannow` and wait for it to complete.

5. Reset File Explorer Settings
- Open "File Explorer Options" and click "Restore Defaults."

6. Check Disk Health
- Open "Command Prompt (Admin)."
- Type the command: `chkdsk C: /f` and restart to repair the disk.

Further Troubleshooting:
- Create a New User Account: If the issue occurs only with the current user account, create a new account for testing.
- Use External Tools: Use "Process Explorer" or "Performance Monitor" to further diagnose system performance issues.
