Screen flashing

Post by AndyF »

Has anyone had the same problem?

My screen keeps turning off and then back on about a second later,

All. Drivers are updated, and I have even tried a clean instal of virgin windows 11, but the problem remains

Unless someone has an idea, I’m returning under guarantee

What monitor, connecting cable, and port are you using on your system?

I've had this happen on a different computer (my work Dell, connected to a USB docking station). The monitor would do the same thing, go black for a second and then back on. The weird thing is, the monitor has always been connected to the dock with the same cable, and didn't have a problem with my previous Dell system.

I ended up disconnecting everything, then swapped the cables around, and the problem hasn't come back since then.

It's connected via HDMI directly to my Smart TV.

This problem is very intermittent - I watched an entire film via USB3 into the PC then back to the TV via HDMI, and yet, it flickered half dozen times within half an hour the other day.

Thinking it was the unit, I brought a different brand (better spec) - all was good for day one, and its just started again now.

So frustrating. It's not software installed - basically only has screensaver at present (set to 5 minutes)

I'll try your approach with a fresh HDMI lead and a different post into the TV, just in case its that

The lack of support from the company is staggering.

I'll simply return this under guarantee, leave a nice review, and buy a competitors machine

Will that then give me some help?
