Hi,
I am new to this forum, but it seams that you might have good expertise on W8 mini PC and it's various kinks.
My W8 mini PC was working fine, but after a restart it won't turn on anyone. After you push the ON button, blue light blinks once and nothing changes. Screen doesn't register activity, BIOS doeysnt open with ESC button on keyboard.
What else can I try?
I already tried the battery disconnect and pin shortening / discharge you mention here, but it didn't work.

Do you possibly have another HDMI cable that you could try? If not, though it sounds a little goofy, you could try reversing the cable, as in plugging the normal monitor end into the unit and the normal unit end into the monitor.
Also, a couple of times now with my W8 Pro I've had to hold the power button in for a second or so to get the unit to power up. I don't remember if there was a blinking blue light when I would press it the first time in the normal fashion, but pressing it longer after it didn't come on seemed to do the trick.
I wish I could tell you what a single blue light blink means, but I'm not familiar with the light codes of the W8/T8.
If what I suggested doesn't help, I'm sure an admin will be able to give some better instructions and/or advice when they are back on.
Lastly, if you were performing a Windows update when the problem occurred, it might help the admin to know this in order to determine the proper steps to take.

Check if the HDMI cable is in good contact (re-plug and unplug to confirm that the HDMI is in good communication); replace the HDMI cable and try (use the built-in HDMI cable). Check whether the display is switched to HDMI display (VGA, HDMI, DP switch signal source is HDMI); change a show to see if there is any display (exclude 1. Make sure the collection is ok, 2. Signal compatibility issues). The BIOS self-test is not completed and cannot be reset and booted. Please refer to the BIOS discharge tutorial：
