GK1 vs. GK2 and availability

Hi there,
I'm thinking about buying a GK1 or GK2 soon (maybe during Prime Days) and I have a couple of questions:
1) What is the difference between them? The old comparison pages seem to be gone, and the most I can find is "GK1 is module 1 and GK2 is module 2" which doesn't really help explain the difference.
2) Amazon seems to be out of stock on the GK2. Will they be available soon?
