AM07 Thoughts

Hello Everyone! After using the AM07 for a few days now i want to share my thoughts.
Features:
To get around the annoying Microsoft Account requirement in the 22H2 Windows 11 Branch you can press Shift+F10 in the Setup.
In the command prompt that pops up you enter the following:
The setup will restart but this time it will allow you to continue with an offline account!
Out of curiosity i checked for the state of the installed updates. The last updates were installed in february so this device offers a fairly recent out of the box Windows experience!
I installed all offered updates including optional driver updates and made a backup of the drivers in that state. Afterwards i installed the AMD Adrenaline edition chipset and gpu driver.
Performance:
Benchmarking the SSD and network adapters showed excellent performance.
When it comes to gaming the AM07 can be roughly compared with a SteamDeck. It seems to be a bit weaker in some scenarios but it was generally in line with what i was expecting.
Rocket League is playable with 60FPS in 1080p with the option to get higher framerates through lowering the resolution and some other settings.
Emulation works great! I even ran the latest version of the Yuzu emulator to test a few games. Overall the performance with yuzu is game-dependent and varies from great to unplayable.
You can expect to emulate every older system just fine though!
I ran the Rise of the Tomb Raider Benchmark with mixed results.
1080p
Medium Preset (DX12): 17,92 overall
Lowest Preset (DX12): 28,43
Lowest Preset (DX11): 23
720p
Medium Preset (DX12): 33,3
Hich Presset, Low Shadows (DX12): 27,7
Fortnite barely acceptable with the lowest preset so this computer is mostly for office stuff and light gaming duties.
Overall i'm very satisfied with the device!
If anyone is interested in the preinstalled drivers: i can upload those as needed but the whole set is 1,3GB in size so too big to attach it here.
