AMR5 Mini PC - Need Help With New Faster RAM Speed In BIOS...

Hi,

I recently purchased your AMR5 mini PC on Amazon.
I needed more & faster RAM so I bought Crucial 16GB X 2 DDR4(32GB total) 3200MHz RAM on Amazon.

When I booted the mini PC after, the new RAM was not running at 3200MHz.
I then entered the BIOS and custom set DDR4 RAM to 3200MHz, but upon reboot the mini PC crashes?

Any ideas?
How do I get the new RAM to run at proper 3200MHz speed?
Thanks!

Jesse

How are you viewing your RAM speed while the computer is running? If using something like CPUZ, remember that the speed shown is half the total, as it's dual channel.

For example, my 3200MHz RAM in my AMR5 shows 1585.9 in the snapshot below, which means it's running at 3171.8MHz.

Edit: I should add that the frequency at which the RAM is operating often changes a little, depending on what the unit is doing. It doesn't normally hit 3200MHz, or at least not in my experience, but it's usually pretty close.

Ah, did not know the above...
Everything is ok then, but have some more questions...

Thanks!

You're welcome. 🙂

I haven't had my AMR5 for that long, but if you have other questions I or others may be able to help.
