Regarding the external power supply, this method is a test of your skills. I hope you will not try it lightly. It requires a certain knowledge base. In most cases, you can use the power-on method to free your hands.
The following picture is for your reference. The HDMI end is connected to the power-on switch. If you can understand it, it proves that you can use an external power supply to boot.
