AK1 - Headless, problems rebooting without HDMI

I run an AK1 as a headless unit. Sometimes it won't reboot without a monitor connected. with no HDMI connected it either powers off in the middle of the reboot or gets "stuck" in the reboot process. Once I plug in a monitor it reboots normally.

Can you shoot a video and send it to me by email? Now I can't tell where the problem is.

I am having the same problem with my Wintel T8 (running Ubuntu). I can't get it to boot without an HDMI monitor connected to it.

I am considering getting one of these to help me:

Update - Those HDMI display emulators worked well.

Me, too, but it would be interesting to know why the T8 can't boot without an HDMI monitor connected to it. This was a new purchase just a few days ago.

Thank you! Unfortunately, I am not running Windows on the T8 - It is running Ubuntu Server 20.04. Is there a different way to flash the BIOS?
