GK1 not recognizing M2 SSD

I have a new GK1 with BIOS version 2.19.1268. Installed the M.2 2242 240GB SSD per instructions but the computer does not see it. BIOS version does not include ADVANCED or CHIPSET (I note in another message that you have removed these in the current version.)

Using the advanced BIOS features is how various Amazon reviews report getting the system to recognize the SSD. Other Amazon reviewers state that your tech support told them there is no way to enable the M.2 slot with the reduced functionality BIOS.

Please advise on how to get the system to recognize the drive.

GK1 supports NVME M.2 2242 by default. Does the M.2 you purchased are NVME?

Thank you for the quick reply.

Apparently the M.2 2242 is an Ngff, which must be an alternative to the NVMe. I'd previously purchased an M.2 NVMe, but it turned out to be a 2280 and didn't fit.

Groan, the M.2 2242 NVMe drives cost close to as much or more than the GX1 itself. It may be a while before I can acquire one to verify it works.

Does the key type matter? I see NVMe M.2 2242 PCIe drives with B & M keys and M keys.

Thank you.
