Failed SSD drive (after 6 month low activity) and no response from support

Hi,

We purchased an AK2 via Amazon in mid March and a couple weeks ago the SSD drive failed. All but two weeks of that time the unit was in pre-production, either running idly or off awaiting time to complete the configuration. The two weeks it was running in production it was just paging through 4 webpages as a wallboard PC, so very little activity.

Current Symptoms/Behavior are as follows:

1. System will not boot into Windows 10
2. Drive not detected in BIOS
3. Tried uninstall (and bleed power out of components) and reseat of SSD drive (no visible sign of any damaged components)
4. Downloaded the system reinstall file and ran in onto unit
a. “Diskpart succeeded in cleaning the disk”
b. Long pause/delay in output
c. “Diskpart has encountered an error: The request could not be performed because of an I/O Device error. See the System Event log for more information.”

It took me a week to find the purchase info (Purchaser was on vacation) but I emailed support last Monday and I still have no response. Are we left high and dry on this or are these units in fact supported (hardware-wise)?

Thanks in advance for any response

Hi Gabe,

Thanks, I did so at about the same time as the post that started this thread, I also rechecked again our organization's spamfilter to be extra sure.

I appreciate the response! :)

Many thanks for the response!

I resent the email at your request and will await response.

I will have to figure out how to change my nom de plume here but that is a happy problem to have considering the circumstances :D

thx again

Hi,

Still no response from service@iacepc.com. I am a network admin at our org and I verified there has been no attempted emails from anyone @iacepc.com.

When can we get the ball rolling on the resolution?

thanks

Ran Gparted Live on PC, it only shows the USB boot drive, no other drive is discovered.
