Which USB 3 hub would you recommend based on your experience?

Are there any specific requirements you have for a USB hub? I've used a dozen or more over the years, and honestly, most of them are decent enough that I'd get them again if necessary.

I currently have a 4-port WAVLINK hub I got off NewEgg, that has power buttons for each port so I can turn them on or off as needed. This one works well enough with USB3 devices; I currently have a powered SATA dock, two flash drives, and a USB SSD plugged in. I've used it with a DVD writer previously.
I've used a 3-port USB3 + gig Ethernet hub, which works well as needed. No network issues and the thumb drives I usually use all work on it.
I've had a powered USB hub connected to an old tablet (with only a single USB port) which allowed me to dock a keyboard and mouse to it, and still had room for external storage.

I think it depends on what you need. Storage, will it be flash drive or other? I/O devices? How much power drain are you concerned with? Will the devices have external power? Are you looking for long term usage, or minimal use?

The only thing I'd recommend is that, if you're going to be connecting traditional laptop HDDs to the hub, I would seriously consider getting a powered one.
