GK3V - Wifi Connection Failure

Hi Forum,

I hope you are all very well.

I just purchased a new GK3V, it looks very good.
I turned it on and ran through the setup, including connecting to the network here via Wifi, no issues, all went well.

Now from within Windows, whenever I try to connect to the Wifi, which is shown with full bars, it just says 'connecting' and then after sometime it says 'Can't connect to this network'

I have created different networks using different hardware (mobile phone hot spot) and the result is the same.

Any ideas what to try next? I would prefer not to return the unit, but if it doesn't work then I guess I'll have no choice.

I will try an ethernet cable and report back if that works.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Using an Ethernet cable does work, the little Green LED is on, on the ethernet port and the Orange LED is flashing as packets are sent and received.
The network connection is working fine with the Ethernet cable, but refusing to connect with the Wifi.

I'm going to update to the latest Windows, via Windows Update and then see if that makes a difference.

Further, I'll see if there are any Windows Driver updates that are connected to Wifi and try those if they are listed.

I'll report back what I find.

After installing all the Windows updates to the latest release, there is no change in the Wifi behaviour.

I left the unit off over night, then upon first boot this morning it did connect to Wifi for some seconds, then after a short while the same behaviour returned. It may well be some sort of heat issue, after a few seconds, (say 15 seconds) the Wifi controller no longer functions correctly, but that is just a guess and although it appears to fit the behaviour, it may or may not be correct.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Hello. You can refer to this tutorial to disassemble the machine: Check whether the antenna inside the machine appears on the same side, causing the signal to become weak. Looking forward to your reply.
