Hi, I emailed service@iacepc.com on 12/31 but haven't heard back yet. Is it possible to get a replacement hard drive bay or am I stuck with only being able to use the on board 64GB eMMC?

Please be patient, and they will tell you the best results. You can search for mSATA hard drives on Amazon. Its speed is equal to 2.5SATA SSD. But with a smaller size, AK1 reserves a place for it.

it did also happen to me
After restart the AK1 was unable to see drive D: MX500 Crucial 500GB SSD
installing the drive with SATA cable in a USB port worked perfect
the problem is caused by W10 new 20H2 version
I reverted to previous version 1909, and now it works perfect.

the procedure applied is :
On a limited time after upgrading to Windows 10, you'll be able to go back to your previous version of Windows by selecting the Start button, then select Settings > Update & Security > Recovery and then selecting Get started under Go back to the previous version of Windows 10.

only the mozilla thunderbird was lost, and should be reinstalled again, recommended to save important data before operation

Hello, i have an issue with my AK1 too. May i ask you to gently post screenshot(s) of your "Disk Management" with the SATA drive plugged in add-on expansion case showing on it ?

Mine seems faulty, because can't make Windows 2004 recognized it and since it's the default version i can't downgrade to 1909 (i just purchased this month on Amazon and it's the first day, out-of-box experience). Thank you !

Hello, I will explain this. This interface can only be connected to the hard disk box. If the hard disk box is not recognized, we can replace you with a brand new hard disk box, or we can provide you with a little compensation and apologize for occupying your USB interface.
