The LED’s are wired in series, one goes out
they all go out

The LED backboard gets Hot real Hot, that’s probably the reason for the high failure rate

Heatsink Requirement Needed

I will be opening it up, measuring out what heatsinks to stick-on with thermal pads, that should take care of that

Thinking a couple of m.2 heatsinks should cover the back of the LED board, plenty of room

Whenever I've had problems with the LEDs overheating and acting strangely or turning off completely, I've noticed that they work again if I unplug the power for a while and replug the power into the AM08 Pro Mini PC. When it's hot, the right side of the case can be easily removed while the unit is on and running hot (it's held on by magnets) and the LEDs function with their correct software without difficulty for me, after a complete disconnection from power and re-connection.

Sometimes a disconnection overnight and reconnection in the morning has been required. Unplug both from the Mini PC and the wall outlet during a disconnection period.

Good luck!
