Did you set the BIOS password and forget it, and now can't get back in? Or are you able to get in but can't find where to disable it?

If you can't get into the BIOS, you can open the system and pull the battery (or disconnect it). There's a few videos on the forums about "BIOS discharge" which will do that - reset the BIOS to defaults, removing any settings and password on it. The GK3 isn't hard to open up.

I believe this is one such video with generic instructions.

I would like to know if there is any other option that does not involve opening it. I know the password, I can enter the BIOS, but I can't see the option to disable the password. Thank you.

I'm not familiar with the process of setting up a password for the BIOS, as I've never done it, nor even looked into it, but if there is an option to change the current BIOS password, try doing so, but leave the spot where you would enter the new password blank, then save it like you would if you actually entered a new password. Hopefully leaving it blank will work and will, more or less, disable the password requirement, kind of like when you leave the spot for a Windows password blank.

Hello! Thanks for your answer. I've tried leaving it blank, but unfortunately it doesn't work. I have also tried reverting the BIOS settings and that didn't work either.

Can you try taking some pictures of where you're having issues? That might help us understand where it's a problem.

In the end I did it by disassembling the unit and disconnecting the battery.
