Rule 1. Specify what version of the motherboard you have!
Rule 2. Find the appropriate firmware.
Rule 3. If all the same you made a mistake, then a hardware flashing will help you.
Rule 4. If a flashing is not really needed, then there is no point in flashing it.
BIOS flashing and bios emergency recovery using GK3v as an example.
Re: BIOS flashing and bios emergency recovery using GK3v as an example.
that's an interesting device. I'm going to re-watch the video later on to see if I missed something critical in it.

Re: BIOS flashing and bios emergency recovery using GK3v as an example.
Okay, I was tired when I posted last night. Pretty useful video, although I honestly hope I never need to de-solder and manually flash, then re-solder a bios chip like that. I'm used to more user-friendly BIOS flashing like Dell or Lenovo, and did it once with my GK3, which had me concerned during the process, but was successful.
Your accent really wasn't bad. It took a while to figure out what you were saying, but you spoke clearly, which helps a lot.

Very helpful video indeed, incorrectly flashed BIOS was not fixable in the past. Since we don't have tutorials to guide our customers, I'm glad to have such videos to help more people now. If anyone needs a programmer, just contact me. I will give it away for free.
Thanks for joining the forum fans, we will become friends here. Any suggestions about the forum I am open to hearing.

awesome video but looks very tricky to carry out
Re: BIOS flashing and bios emergency recovery using GK3v as an example.
Unfortunately I have bricked my ACEPC GK1_V25A 2020.12.31 by trying to install a bios but was the wrong version.
I tried rewriting the chip, had to de-solder it, which seemed to be worked ok. just to confirm i need to re-write it with GK1V2501_20211021_AMI.bin
But still doesn't work, maybe is my soldering when putting back the chip, but can't tell, any suggestions?

@ghk, that's probably beyond most of our ability in the forum, sadly. Maybe the admin, who has access to the engineering team, has some other suggestions?

ghk,
I'd try contacting after sales support at support@kamrui.com to see if they can provide you with the BIOS you need. Hopefully you'll be able to flash it.

Re: BIOS flashing and bios emergency recovery using GK3v as an example.
Hello,
I have a NiPoGi GK3V 8GB RAM / 128 GB SSD / Intel Celeron J4125 processor
I have the following problem: the CPU supports SGX (by Intel) but the from BIOS I don't have the option to activate it and I think I need a bios update because the motherboard is not recognizing the SGX security.
On the motherboard is written : GK1_V61C and in BIOS is written GK1V61 , is any chance to find a bios update file ?!
Thank you !
