SSD drive not mounting

SSD drive not mounting

I tried two separate SSD drives in my new AK1. When I go to device manager or disk management they don't show up. What to I do. Do I have to reformate my computer or try something else. The drives are good because I can see them when they are in an external SSD case.

rmcellig,

Do the drives have a Windows formatted partition on them? If not, try them in the external case and add a formatted partition, then see if they show when in the AK1's expansion bay. Also, make sure that the drives are fully inserted when installing them in the expansion bay.

If none of this helps, I'd advise contacting after sales support at service@iacepc.com.

It turns out on both my PCs I wasn't pushing the drive hard enough. Now it's connecting and working properly.

Thanks for reminding me to back sure the drive is properly connected in the drive bay!😀
