WiFi internet connection works but wired connection does not

Post by froggypete »

This is a new ACEPC AK1 Mini PC running latest version of Windows 10
WiFi internet connection works fine.
Cable is fine, tested with another machine, that works.
Also tested cable with LANtest modular cable test kit, that is all fine.
Internet connection via USB Ethernet adapter works fine in all ports, USB2.0 and USB 3.0.
Ethernet adapter shows in the 'Control Panel/Network and Internet/Network Connections' as 'Intel(R) Ethernet Controller I225-V', status shows as cable unplugged.
There is no Advanced options in the BIOS that I can see so cannot see any network hardware information there.
What's the fix, or do I just send it back for a refund?

Is there anybody out there?
Not quite what I call 24/7 service support.
Sending the machine back tomorrow for a refund.

Hello, froggypete
will the AK1 plug in the LAN indicator light will flash green, if it flashes, you can try to open the Internet settings, change the adapter, find the Ethernet open properties, select the internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and select automatic acquisition Try the address. If you plug in the LAN and the indicator light does not flash green, it means there is a problem with the hardware. I suggest you contact the ACEPC after-sales service.
