Terryza T5 PC Stick not saving registry settings in Windows 10

Post by rwilliams »

I have several of these units I am setting up for a project and I have set one of them up to Auto login via the registry, but every subsequent unit I have tried to do this to since is not saving its registry changes. After each reboot it wipes the changes I have made. I have tried reinstalling Windows to see if it resolved it but it did not, I have tried most everything Google could offer for registry setting saving issues. Any help you guys could offer would be much appreciated.

Hmm, that is a bit strange behavior, but not unheard of apparently...

Some questions:
1.) Are you making the registry edits from an Admin account and/or running regedit as admin?
2.) Do you have a conflicting Group Policy in place that may be interfering?
3.) Are all the Windows 10 sticks the exact same Windows version and build?
4.) When you say you reinstalled Windows on them, are you talking about using the AcePC pre-made images or using the Windows Media Creation tool to generate a vanilla installation iso?
5.) Are all sticks joined to a domain or simply "local"?
6.) When reinstalling, did you reinstall Windows 10 Pro or Home?
7.) Do you have any other scripts or software running at boot that could be trying to protect or modify your registry in some way?
