I have got the same problem after about a week. Fan did run but now doesn't.
Is this a common problem?

Update:-
Original fan would not run, just hummed when in the pc. I tried it on a PSU and it wouldn't start but only ran when spun so was totally u/s. I didn't want to swap the pc as I had spent time configuring it and had thrown away all the original packaging. I also considered that I was likely to have the same problem again. So I bought new Winsinn 5v blower ball bearing fans from Amazon and. apart from having to cut the wire and use the old connector all worked fine. I also put new heatsink compound on when refitting the heatsink.
The result was that the pc ran very much cooler even when the fan was not needed but I was concerned that the fan didn't seem to come on until the temperature was 70 C plus and also seemed a bit random in its operation. That might be because of the sensor being used being different to that used by Argus Monitor I use but I am not sure.
I therefore made up a small 3d printed base for the AK3 to sit in which holds a 24v 40mm fan blowing up through the air inlet on the bottom and run it off the 12v supply so it is not very noisy but runs all the time. It drops the temperature considerably and also the SSD I have installed runs much cooler. It also should keep things cool if the internal fan or its control circuit cease to work.
I find Argus Monitor very useful as it monitors many aspects of the pc including drive SMART etc. and you can set it to email you if the temperature is excessive. This is what alerted me in the first place. Support is also excellent for Argus and several times over the years they have added support for new devices when I have contacted them.

Re: AK3V Fan stop working
Did you retrofit the new fan to the existing duct or did you completely remove the original fan and duct and install the new fan directly over the CPU (with the heatsink, of course)?
Did you possibly take pictures that you might be able to post?
