Good morning,
I'm writing to understand if my M2A ACEMagic is working correctly or if there’s an issue with the drivers. Basically, I set the PEG slot as the primary display in the BIOS to force the use of the dedicated graphics card. I have an i7, an RTX 3060, and 32 GB of RAM. However, after making this change, I couldn't get any video output. Thanks to the help from some users on the forum, I followed their advice and reset the BIOS to default settings ( viewtopic.php?t=5518 ). At that point, the integrated graphics card was automatically set as the default. My question is: is it normal that I have to use the integrated card as the primary one instead of the dedicated one?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me understand this!
Graphics Card Selection in BIOS
Re: Graphics Card Selection in BIOS
It's normal, even for bigger name brands (like HP, Dell, and Apple). I usually just let the default graphics do their thing, like the embedded Intel drivers for most use, and I would look at a Game or application to use the GPU if necessary.
Especially for booting the system, I see no reason to use the higher end graphics to show me that the computer is booting up.
