I've done this, but it eventually returns. The problem I'm finding is that with it being intermittent it's even more difficult to determine the cause. I've experienced on both my S1 and T8 Plus, which are N95 based. However, I also have an N95 based AD03, and it's not happening on that. I'm wondering what the specific commonality is between the S1 and T8 Plus that the AD03 doesn't share.MaKo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 4:29 pm I have the same problem.
My solution:
Switch of the PC, unplug the powerconnector on the PC, wait some seconds for example 20sec.
After that plug in the powerconnector to the PC and start it. Now, the errors in the audio output are away.
In my opinion it´s an internal problem. You get any voltages on the GND and this will bring the errors on the audio output.
Yes, you don´t get this errors on the connected bluetooth audiobox, because there is no physical connection.

Re: GK3Plus audio problem
Yes, the problem is occurring again.
As I said, I suspect it is due to some voltages that build up when the power supply is connected.
If the power supply is disconnected, the fault potential is dissipated and the fault is rectified for a while until the voltages/potentials build up again.
@Gabe: Is it possible that you are using an earthed power supply on your AD03? If so, you could replace the power supply units and see if the error pattern changes.

Re: GK3Plus audio problem
The power supply for my AD03 and T8 Plus are identical. The one for my S1 is higher amperage, but the same voltage. All three are two pole, no ground.MaKo wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 10:17 am Yes, the problem is occurring again.

Re: GK3Plus audio problem
FINALLY!!!
I was finally able to record some audio of it. This is from my T8 Plus. The low hum you hear is on the home page of the game (System Shock 2) and is normal. The noise you hear every second or so is the problem.
This was the first recording...
This is the second one, taken two minutes later. Note that the frequency is higher (it's happening more often)...
After recording this I left the computer on for about another minute, and before I shut it off it was going even faster. Weird.
At least I got to use the voice recorder on my S23 for the first time.

Re: GK3Plus audio problem
I would either send a PM to barry or email him at barry@minipcunion.com so that he's aware of the issue with your GK3 Plus. He's a tech for the company. You may even want to include the link to this topic.
They have received some feedback from some users regarding this issue, but the more they know, especially with which models it's affecting, the better.

Re: GK3Plus audio problem
I now have an “external sound card” (USB to 3.5mm jack) approx. 7Euro and the problem is solved, no more sound problems.
So the problem must come from the DAC on the board, as the digital signal is OK.
I can't remember that I had the problem from the beginning, so it came from some software update, probably Windows, which bent the drivers with regard to the I2S bus.
If you now take into account that the problem was also solved for a short time after a voltage reset, i.e. disconnecting the power supply, and only reappeared after an indefinite period of time, perhaps the specialist will be able to pinpoint the problem better.

Re: GK3Plus audio problem
Not for me. Sometimes it's there right at the start, other times it isn't. Sometimes it's there after a while, other times it isn't. Sometimes it doesn't show up at all.MaKo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:01 am If you now take into account that the problem was also solved for a short time after a voltage reset, i.e. disconnecting the power supply, and only reappeared after an indefinite period of time, perhaps the specialist will be able to pinpoint the problem better.

Re: GK3Plus audio problem
After further experience, I think you may be onto something. I didn't take into account the fact that, though my S1 was off, it was still plugged into a power strip that was on, as I use a Mac when I'm not using the S1. I'd be using the Mac, shut it down and move the wireless mouse/USB dongle and 3.5mm audio cable to the S1, but I'd never turn off the power strip. Sometimes the audio issue would be there, but other times not. However, for the last week I've been shutting the power strip off during changeover, which takes about a minute, then turn it back on and starting the S1. I have a switch for the HDMI, so I don't have to move anything with that. Since doing this there has been no audio problem.MaKo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:01 am If you now take into account that the problem was also solved for a short time after a voltage reset, i.e. disconnecting the power supply, and only reappeared after an indefinite period of time, perhaps the specialist will be able to pinpoint the problem better.
I've no doubt it would be the same with my T8 Plus.
Being that this issue didn't pop up until W11 24H2, I hope other people who are dealing with it post about it on Microsoft's Feedback Hub and other places so that Microsoft fixes it with an update.

Re: GK3Plus audio problem
I also started getting this problem recently, but can't absolutely say it happened with the Windows 11 update. I actually have two SSDs in my GK3 and I have Windows 11 on my M.2 stock SSD and I have Ubuntu Linux on a SATA SSD. I am experiencing the sound problem on either operating system, so I don't know if the Windows 11 update is the culprit?
