First way...

You can use the system and driver installation files available in this forum for your particular model. There is an accompanying installation instruction video available. Look for your particular model on the main page and you should find the system file download and instructional video in the subsection.

Second way...

You can create USB installation media using Microsoft's Media Creation Tool for Windows 10 and use that installation media to perform a clean install of Windows 10. However, if you do it this way you're going to want to either download and use the driver file for your particular model, which is available on this forum, as you'll likely need some drivers after the install, or save the drive folder currently on the computer for use after the Windows 10 install, as again, you'll likely need some drivers. You can find the driver folder in C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository. It's easier to just save the whole folder rather than going into the folder and trying to save every driver in it. It's likely somewhere between 1.5GB and 2.5GB in size, so you'll want to make sure the USB drive or whatever it is you save the folder on has room for it.

If you aren't already familiar with how to perform a clean install of Windows 10 using installation media you create, you're better off using the first method (downloading the files from this forum and following the instructions in the video).

Unfortunately, none are currently listed, and the only one I can find is W10 version 1909, which is quite old.

I'll see if I can get a newer version posted.

They're currently looking to see if an updated system is available.

In the meantime I found a newer version, but it's still an old one and out of support with Microsoft. It's version 2004. If you want to, you can install it, then update to 22H2 via Windows Update.

If you want to and know how to perform a clean install of W10 22H2 you can do that, but you'll need to install some drivers afterward, and one of them in a very particular way that's a bit different from normal, as it requires a special script inserted into a folder in order to initialize the WiFi driver. You'll be able to see it in the driver installation video. For reference, if you do decide to go this way, I'd elicit the Windows 10 Product Key from the current installation, just in case you need it.

Unfortunately, there is no newer version of Windows 10 available for the W8. The R&D department looked into it, but a newer version of Windows 10 would cause the unit to be extremely slow because of the CPU it contains.

You could try what I suggested to upgrade to 22H2, but from the sound of it it may not work very well.

I'm considering putting Linux Mint on mine. This way it's at least still usable.
