Re: How do I install the realtek audio console on a clean win 11 pro installation?
Hi,
I've done that. However, what exact sound device do I update from the device manager and where exactly is the folder I should use for the .inf installation file?
Thank you in advance.

Re: How do I install the realtek audio console on a clean win 11 pro installation?
First, my sincerest apologies. I misread your post and thought you were looking for the audio driver.
From what I can find, while the Realtek Audio Console used to be available through the Microsoft Store, it looks like it's been discontinued, as it's not available, and I've found posts from sites like reddit that say the same thing. I did find a "Realtek Audio Control", but when the link opens the Microsoft Store and I try to download it, it ultimately fails. Still, here it is in case it works for you...

Yes, I am looking to see if my audio drivers are up to date as well. I think the realtek audio control panel gets installed if one has the correct driver.Gabe wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 12:32 am First, my sincerest apologies. I misread your post and thought you were looking for the audio driver.

Re: How do I install the realtek audio console on a clean win 11 pro installation?
Unfortunately, my AMR5 doesn't have Realtek audio, so I don't know what the entry will look like, but try updating each device (other than USB Audio Device) in the "Sound, video and game controllers" line. Right click the device, click Update Driver, then in the pop up box click Browse my computer for drivers. First, make sure the "Include subfolders" box is checked, then click Browse, locate the unzipped drivers folder in the pop up box, select it, click OK, then click Next on the main popup box. It should find the driver and install it, though if the driver already installed is more up to date, it will tell you that it didn't install anything.
Another option you could try, especially for a more up to date driver than what's available in the driver pack available in that link, is 'Driver Booster'. The free version is fine. However, even if it finds drivers for many devices, I would still only update the Audio device. Driver Booster is often recommended by barry, a tech for the company, so it's safe to use. But again, I would only update the audio device and nothing else.

Ok, I just thought I saw that I had some realtek audio control panel with windows 11 home os that was already installed on my Kamrui AMR5 with Ryzen 7 5700u .Gabe wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 1:21 am Unfortunately, my AMR5 doesn't have Realtek audio, so I don't know what the entry will look like, but try updating each device (other than USB Audio Device) in the "Sound, video and game controllers" line. Also, I don't have any specific audio control interface either besides the windows generic one, is there supposed to be one?

Re: How do I install the realtek audio console on a clean win 11 pro installation?
Okay, now this is interesting...
I decided to perform a clean install of Windows 11 24H2 on my AMR5. Unfortunately, I forgot to save the the drivers from the installed 23H2, so I downloaded the drivers from here and used them, which are from a 22H2 version of the install. As it turns out, a few aren't compatible with 24H2, and Windows Update wasn't finding the ones I still needed, namely the Bluetooth and WiFi drivers. So I downloaded, installed and ran Driver Booster. I hadn't used it before. Anyway, at this point I had already saved a system image of the 24H2 install, so I decided to just install/update all drivers that it found, then restarted the computer. Unfortunately, this didn't fix the Bluetooth issue, but I decided to uncheck the WSQL requirement in the settings in Driver Booster, then ran the scan again. This time it showed three more drivers, including the Bluetooth, which showed that the one installed was "faulty". I only updated the Bluetooth driver, as I didn't want to chance the other two with them not being WSQL. It fixed the Bluetooth issue. However, it now showed issues with Logitech devices (I use a wireless Logitech mouse and keyboard). I found the fix for this was installing Logitech's Set Point software, even though it's incompatible with the Mouse I have. But the Logitech driver issue went away.
When I was checking to make sure the Bluetooth and Logitech things were fixed, I decided to check the "Sound, video and game controllers" entry and saw that it now showed Realtek, so one of the driver updates I did with Driver Booster fixed it.
I also found this is "Installed Apps"...

And I am using windows 11 pro 24H2
I think it's the same one posted here:

Ok, yes right now I have instead of Realtek High Definition Audio, just High Definiton Audio Device which is just generic microsoft one.
I don't know where in the above win11 pro driver pack the realtek version is because when I try to update it it says i already have the latest one.
So, if I can't find it there I will take the hwid and try to download realtek audio driver from some reputable website.
Then the realtek control gui should be able to be installed.
Only other drivers I installed with my clean installation is an amd audio coprocessor i think that's what is named and chipset from amd site plus graphic driver.
Do you have the audio driver backed up so maybe you can post a link for all to download and install?

Re: How do I install the realtek audio console on a clean win 11 pro installation?
I don't believe it is in that pack, at least not that which is compatible with 24H2. It was Driver Booster that found and installed it.Milardo wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 9:02 pm Ok, yes right now I have instead of Realtek High Definition Audio, just High Definiton Audio Device which is just generic microsoft one.

As for the driver itself, I'm not sure how to locate the exact one in my computer. Here's the info, as shown in the Device Manger...
