GK3 Plus - no stereo / no HDMI audio - Linux

Hi,

I have installed the latest linuxmint release 21.3 (based on Ubuntu 22.04.) on my new GK3 PLUS and was finally finished with the configuration and then realised that I have two problems - both audio related:

1. There is no audio via the HDMI to my TV. I can connect the old laptop I was replacing with the same HDMI cable to the same TV and it works. The video works fine.

2. Also then I connected the audio jack to my stereo amplifier and realised there is no stereo - I can change from mono to stereo and back but no luck.

Do I need specific drivers? Is there a repository I can hook up to?

Hi,

I have since been experimenting and just noticed that linuxmint have brought out an edition called the Edge version with a newer kernel and more drivers.
So downloaded and tried it out.
And the GOOD NEWS is that this version works PERFECTLY on the GK3 PLUS.
