constant reboot

Post by Wongcho »

hi
"Hoy me ha llegado este minipc, lo he conectado y he comenzado a configurarlo. Se ha reiniciado un par de veces, por lo que pense que serian reinicios a causa de la instalacion.
pese a ello, conseguí instalar "steam", pero empezo a reiniciarse una y otra vez, hasta el punto de que decidí restablecer.
Ahora no puedo completar la configuración de windows debido a esos reinicios...alguna idea de que ocurre?
gracias"

Today I received this minipc, I connected it and started configuring it. It has rebooted a couple of times, so I thought they were reboots due to the installation.
Despite this, I managed to install "steam", but it started restarting over and over again, to the point that I decided to reset.
Now I can't complete the windows setup because of those reboots...any idea what's happening?
thank you

To me that looks like a hardware issue. A bad RAM module maybe? I would try to swap the 2 RAM modules, to see if it works better, or just run it with one module, then the other. It could also be a heat problem, check the temperature in BIOS. It could be a non functioning fan, or the heatsink not seated properly.
This is just to try to narrow down where the issue might be, you should definitely contact support or the retailer for a return / swap of the PC.

I would contact barry777, a tech for the company, at barry@minipcunion.com. He'll likely ask for an order number, and if you can get it, a video of the problem.

1. Check if the memory can operate normally.
Reference video: How to use MemTest86 to check memory

2. If the memory check is normal, it is recommended to reinstall the system. Frequent Windows updates may cause system abnormalities. You can click on this link to download the system interface: viewtopic.php?t=4472

3. If the issue persists, please send your purchase order number to the email: barry@minipcunion.com, and we will further assist you in troubleshooting after verification.

Memory test he passed well. But the reinstallation of the system does not, after reaching the end of the step at minute 1:57 of the video, it begins again with the reboots... I don't know if I can try something else or should I proceed to send invoice, data, etc? Thanks in advance

I have the same problem, and it's even worse.

I purchased it in May, but did not use. Today, I opened the box and started using it. It crashes instantly after booting to Windows 11. Every time I log in to windows, it will crash after a few minutes. I can't do anything.

I've searched around on the Internet. It seems that it's due to the memory overheat, mentioned in a reddit thread:

It looks like the default memory speed is 4800Mhz, but it's too high. The user in the above reply said he lowered the speed to 4200Mhz, and the crash never happened again. However, I don't find the option to change the memory speed for this mini PC. There is no BIOS update either in order to change the memory speed.

Otherwise, this could be a hardware issue.

Please let me know what I can do now. It won't last 5 minutes after login to the desktop. Can't do anything at all.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We take this matter seriously and are currently gathering information on this type of issue. To proceed with the verification, we need the following information:

1. Please provide your purchase order number. To protect your personal information, please send it via private message or email it to barry@minipcunion.com.
2. Are you experiencing system blue screens and restarts? If so, please provide a brief video of the fault.
3. If the PC can boot into the system, please compress the system folder and send it to us for analysis. The folder path is C:\Windows\Minidump, where files are automatically generated after a blue screen occurs.

Thank you very much for your cooperation.
