I have not been able to create a bootable usb with any of the images posted here. I have followed tutorial, format name usb winpe, copy extracted downloaded files C:\Users\...\Downloads\S1_WIN11PRO_22H2_20240301. The extracted download file is 11.1gb, 710 files, 173 folders. I've tried and downloaded this one twice and get an error after boot in command window. Try to find USB drive contains images install.exe. USB drive letter install.txt not found. I do see install.txt in images folder with 0kb and no text.

I downloaded Windows 11Home edition and installed, it worked very well. Thank you for solution. Amazon seller provided same home edition solution.
My next question is, Is S1 expected to be running with Windows Pro? Can I replace now-working Home edition to Pro Edition using link above for better security? Thanks.

The determining factor in whether it's Home or Pro is the Product Key, which is embedded in the BIOS. If your S1 came with Windows 11 Home, the only way to actually upgrade it to Pro would be to buy a Windows 11 Pro Product Key, then change the Product Key using the new one.

Originally the S1 came with Windows 11 Pro, but they've been transitioning to releasing many of their models with Windows 11 Home instead, including the S1. Windows 11 Home will work fine with the S1, but if you need the extra security the Pro version can give, such as BitLocker, you can find a Windows 11 Pro Product Key fairly inexpensively on the net, and for considerably less than buying one from Microsoft themselves. HOWEVER, be VERY careful of the super cheap ones, as they're often Volume keys that can expire at any time.

Lastly, if you do ultimately decide to upgrade to Pro, before doing so I would glean the Home Product Key from the system, write it down and keep it in a safe place, for that 'just in case' scenario, like if the Pro key you bought did end up being a Volume key and it expired. This way you'll at least have a backup key to use, even if it's Home, and you could change it back to that Home key the same way you changed it to the Pro key. You can usually find the Product Key using the Command Prompt method, outlined on this webpage. Or at least that's how I most often find it.
