Windows 10 version 2004

Windows update says it is now able to update my T11 to windows 2004. Should I proceed with the update?

The system update pushed by Microsoft will not be considered for you alone, so you need to consider the capacity of the machine and your needs. The update is only to help Microsoft collect bugs, and the update will put more pressure on the device and generate more junk files. So in our opinion, if it is not for fixing a specific bug, then we will not actively choose to update, which is suitable for our computer performance. Of course, if you want to experience the latest features, the update is a great experience. Please make sure you have enough storage space before downloading it.

Should I do a clean Install of windows 10 2004 for the best experience or just do the upgrade?

You'll probably be fine either way, but with a clean install you'll be missing some drivers. You can get them at the following...

As always, it's a good idea to backup your important files and/or even save a system image before upgrading to the new version.

I should add that this is just my personal advice, driven by both my own experience with ACEPC and my time in this Community. All of my ACEPCs (Wintel 8 Pro (T8), GK1 and AK3) have been upgraded to W10 Pro v 2004, and using clean installs. I did, however, save system images before performing each install, just in case anything went wrong.

Thanks for the reply

First I upgraded the ACEPC shell to Windows 10 version 2004 with Windows update.

Then I used the new windows cloud reset to do the fresh install. By doing the cloud reset it uses all the driver's from the previous version.... No need to create a USB stick.. it just boots from the cloud and installs windows....

The little T11 took it's time for both but it is now running a fresh install of ver. 2004....
