Reinstalling Windows

Hi,
I have a CK11 that the original M.2 NVMe SSD drive crashed, as they always do, after a few months. I am replacing it with a SSD SATA drive. The problem is when I try to reinstall windows (win 11) there is an error saying that windows cannot be installed on USB drive.
Am I missing something here? While I didn't check I Think the original install was Windows 11.
Please help.
