That's normal for Windows 11, and has been pushed more with the most recent release of Windows 11. Microsoft is pushing users to require a Microsoft account, either a personal one or a group one from work or school. If you have a hotmail or similar account, you can put it in there.

I posted about this a while back, here: https://minipcunion.com/viewtopic.php?p ... oobe#p9866

The workaround will hopefully help.

The odd thing isn't that it's requiring a Microsoft account, but rather that it's defaulting to 'work or school', not even giving the option for a home account.

I have an MSDN account, and I've seen this when using a Windows 11 Pro (Business) ISO, versus a Windows 11 Pro (Consumer) ISO. I wonder if the system was reimaged, as this wouldn't be standard with the images these mini PCs come with.

maregtr,

At this point, if you have another computer with which you can create the installation media, it might be a good idea to try reinstalling the system, which you can get here.

I tried and it worked. But I did a system reset and the same thing happened again . I created a bootable usb and tried to install windows 11 but it is stuck in the post screen of bios .

What should I do guys ? Is is a faulty mini pc ?
Should I return it and get a refund ???

I'm not really sure what's going on. I'd contact barry, a tech for the company, at barry@minipcunion.com and explain to him what's going on. It's definitely not supposed to be doing that. What I'm wondering is if it could be related to the Product Key, as in it could mistakenly have a type that's used for businesses or organizations embedded in its BIOS, so it keeps defaulting to that. That's just a guess though. I could be totally wrong.

You may even want to contact the seller.
