Gabe,
Thank you for the recommendation. After looking at what else Amazon had I decided to go with the one below. It's also by TP-Link and has 2 antennas. It was reviewed, along with some others including the one you linked to, by PC Magazine. It cost just slightly more than the single antenna version. I've also included a link to the reviews. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the review holds true.
Thanks again for your help.

You're welcome.
That one will almost assuredly be even better. Good choice!

Re: GK3 Pro slow wifi
Gabe,
Plugged the adapter in and disabled the built in wifi. With the driver installed by Win 11, and the driver from the TP-Link website, I get 60 on 2.4 and 90 on 5 Ghz. This adapter looks to also have a Realtek chip, although it's apparently a bit better than the one that is built in. Was hoping for better results but this is probably as good as it's going to get. Thanks again for your help.

Re: GK3 Pro slow wifi
60Mbps and 90Mbps for 2.4GHz and 5GHz, respectively?
Something doesn't seem right. It should be a lot higher than that.

Re: GK3 Pro slow wifi
Gabe,
Yes, 60 for 2.4 and 90 for 5 Ghz. I was expecting higher speeds also.
With the built in wifi I was maxing around 40 for 2.4 and 60 for 5 Ghz, so there's been a 50% increase in both speeds with the USB adapter, but still far below the laptops with the Intel chips. I've used the driver that Win 11 auto installs, as well as the driver from the TP-Link website, no change from the 60 and 90 speeds.

Re: GK3 Pro slow wifi
Hi, same problem for me.
Slow speed. Compared to another mini pc even the wifi power is lower (5 bar competitor, 1/2 niponi, same position)
