Looking for a fix to code 48 and 51 (T11 Model)

Post by Dorlow »

[Ok, for the benifit of tech support, I've spent the last 5 days trying to fix this through trial and error, many restarts, several re-format/installs, hours on forums and searching Google and 3 sleepless nights!.
So I beg you please don't ask me to do the simple, usual offered cop-out answers. (Restart your PC, Uninstall drivers, Restore point, Contact vendor for a new driver.)]

PRODUCT IN QUESTION

OK, ALL drivers are installed and according to the device manager, are working. No red crosses anywhere. HOWEVER the YELLOW TRIANGLES are fixable errors (with your assistance).

FIRST PROBLEM!
Broadcom802.11ac WDI SDIO Adapter:
The driver for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48)

Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.

I'm looking for a potential registy hack/edit that can bypass the block the operating system has placed on a working driver.
Broadcom have other revisions of the wireless driver but NONE have worked any better or worse then this.

I have NO ACCESS to a recovery partition because the damn thing deleted itself less then a week after I brought the T11 on Amazon.

So if anyone can offer me a working solution for this driver issue, I can make use of my wifi.

SECOND PROBLEM!
bcmfn2 device:

This device is currently waiting on another device or set of devices to start. (Code 51)

Dependencies:
SD\VID_02d0&PID_a9bf&FN_1\4&32d17375&0&0

....personally, i have no idea what to make of this one...

If I have to provide logs or anything to further assist with this one, PLEASE let me know!

This is due to the loss of WIFI caused by the system update. Microsoft has solved this problem in the system after 1909. Please download and install our stable version of the system: Win10_1909_Pro: /view?usp=sharing

Dorlow,

The following is a copy/paste from a prior reply, but it concerns the exact issue you're having (both problems (they're related)). And this isn't at all to negate anything the ACEPC admin says or directs. It's only an alternate solution.

"The problem with the WiFi is a missing text configuration script that goes in the Driver File Repository (where all of the other drivers are). It's titled "4345r6nvram.txt", without the quotes.

I'd send the file, but this forum doesn't support/allow that (not that you would, or really should, trust a file from a stranger anyway). I believe you can get the file by downloading the drivers from ACEPC, or even by searching for the file on the net, though the latter is a bit risky, of course. There's also an ACEPC video that explains how to install the downloaded drivers, and that file is a part of the instructions.

Hope this helps."

When I got my Wintel 8 Pro (T8) I learned this the hard way. I had saved the Driver File Repository, knowing that I'll very likely need at least some of the drivers already installed, and I then performed a clean install of Windows 10 1909, as the unit came with version 1903. It's just my preference, but I always perform clean installs instead of in place upgrades, like when going from 1903 to 1909. I also saved a system image of the unit prior to the performing the clean install so that I could re-image the unit in case anything went wrong with the clean install.

After installing all of the drivers, I had the same problem you're having. The two issues in the device manager. After a bunch of searching I found a site where people were discussing the same problem, and though taking a big risk, I downloaded the configuration script that was linked to on the site. Luckily, it was genuine and I didn't get a virus or some other nefarious thing. After installing the configuration script in the same folder as the drivers I restarted the unit and, sure enough, everything was fixed. :)

Granted, I'm not recommending anyone do what I do, as in the clean install or getting the file or drivers from anyone but ACEPC, but I'm just mentioning my experience for reference. But there's no doubt that the problem you're experiencing can be remedied with that driver configuration script being put in the driver folder.

Configuring the driver file can fix the problem of losing WIFI, but this method is very difficult, so we usually provide customers with a way to reinstall the system to solve the problem.
