Problems with 64 GB RAM (2x 32 GB) ?!
Hello,
we updated to 64 GB RAM Kingston Fury 3200 MHz (2x 32 GB).
Now we have a strange problem. The computer now seems to freeze from time to time. Sometimes after a few minites, sometimes after half an hour. Mouse and keyboars can not be used, the display is black. But the lights on the pc are still all on.
The RAM is tested with Microsoft Tool and Memtest. No errors, no problems.
What is this and what can we do?

According to the snapshot of the approved RAM list in this post, Kingston DDR4 at 3200 should work.
Something I would try, but only if you're familiar enough with BIOS adjustments to do so, is to see if lowering the MHz slightly resolves the issues. I know that with traditional desktop motherboards the BIOS settings for the RAM sometimes need adjustments when the max amount and speed of RAM is used. This is just a suggestion of something to try, and again, only if you're familiar enough with that sort of thing with the BIOS.

Thanks for the reply.
Meanwhile we tested the RAM in another AMR5 with BIOS Version 1.07. Here it is working without any problems. In the AMR5 with BIOS Version 1.11 there are these problems. So are there problems with that BIOS Version 1.11?
We will try the drivers, you think this can fix it?

If this happens to AMR5, you can update the graphics card driver through the AMD official website, and then observe after the update.

Re: Problems with 64 GB RAM (2x 32 GB) ?!
The drivers in the package were older than the installed ones. We use the latest driver from AMD website already....
P. S. We now checked exactly same Kingston Fury 3200 MHz RAM in 32 GB version (2x 32 GB).
So the problem is definitely that the AMR5 has problem with 64 GB. We have one with BIOS 1.07 and it is working good. We have one with BIOS 1.11 and it does not work.
So some problems with the BIOS or Board?

Boosterfan,
Regarding the graphics driver provided by barry777, even though it's older you may still want to try it. With my own AMR5, I have to keep the unit from updating to a more recent graphics driver, as it causes a couple of weird issues while using the Microsoft Edge browser. Granted, that's not at all similar to the issue you're experiencing, but what I mean is that the drivers the manufacturer provides are often tailored to the unit itself, whereas the driver from AMD may not be quite right for the unit in some aspect or another, so it may still be worth trying.
It's just a suggestion.

Hi,
so we tried even this. But no difference...
So I still believe in a mainboard or bios version problem...
But so, the 64 GB we bought are not possible to used...

That's unfortunate.
Hopefully they'll be able to come up with some kind of fix so you'll be able to use it without issue.

Yes, I guess there are just 2 ways:
1. It is a problem with the pc, and it need to be changed to a new one.
2. It is a problem with BIOS Version 1.11, then they need to send update/fix.
If they can not realize they need to find a way. We can not work for days now.....
