I was able to install Debian 11 on sdb1, but when I tried to install another distro on sdb2, it screwed up grub. Thanks so much!! I really want to and need to make this work. The only distro that I got to work properly and it uses the old grub legacy way is puppy Linux. This distro is super light and fast. It uses RAM instead of writing to the hard drive all the time like Mac vs windows and most other distros....

I reformatted both the main drive and an SSD drive I installed. My old HP PC was from 2008. It ran only in legacy mode. Never had issues installing various Linux distros. Is it possible to reformat the drive that windows 10 is on and install Linux instead? What changes do I have to make in the bios?

I don't want to ever see the windows boot menu on this PC. Just the Linux grub menu.

It turns out on both my PCs I wasn't pushing the drive hard enough. Now it's connecting and working properly.

Thanks for reminding me to back sure the drive is properly connected in the drive bay!

I tried two separate SSD drives in my new AK1. When I go to device manager or disk management they don't show up. What to I do. Do I have to reformate my computer or try something else. The drives are good because I can see them when they are in an external SSD case.

I no have Linux Lite on the SSD drive I put in the ACEPC and Windows 11 is still on the other drive that comes with the ACEPC.
