Thanks. I tried the suggestions in the referenced article, but no change. The setting are for gigabit ethernet, but undersetting properties it says:
Link speed (Receive/Transmit) 100/100 (Mbps). I'm glad this computer is mainly for offline applications. I'll stick with my Mac any day.

I have a new ACEPC AK3. The ethernet download speed is about half (89Mbps) of that on my Macmini Upload (85Mbps)is about the same. Normally my download speed is over 200Mbps and upload over 100Mbps.
