Yes, its a PM981 OEM drive.
First of all, we need to clarify the limitation of the possible bandwidth of the M.2 NVMe port to PCIe 3.0 x1.
The other question would be how the system would run with PCIe 3.0 x4.
And reports from other V1/E1/E2 users would be helpful as to whether they have had the ...

It makes a big difference in terms of transmission rates! No speed issues, but the figures speak for themselves.
My system is a E1.

For those who have successfully performed a BiosUpdate (Thanks @barry777) and where the NVMe SSD is now recognised: please check whether the NVMe SSD is running with PCIe 3.0 x4 or only with PCIe 3.0 x1! My SSD only runs in PCIe 3.0 x1 mode. Or is PCIe 3.0 x1 the state of the art?
