The SSD was from KSTON MEMORY TECHONOLOGY not KINGSTON (probably a knock off brand based upon the name). But yes some parameter is changing on the SSD to cause the BIOS not to be able to identify the drive anymore at boot. The KSTON SSD seems to operate correctly when placed in an external NVMe encl...

I ran into the same issue (boot directly to bios / on boot screen no NVME partition name shown) in the last 2 weeks. Purchased the AM07 (from Amazon) on July 11 2023. The NVME SSD is from KSTON MEMORY TECHNOLOGY, K765-512GB. I can sometimes get the computer to boot properly on the very first powerup...
