These N95 Mini PCs Make Great Home Servers

As of Proxmox Virtual Environment 8, the Linux kernel has native support for Alder Lake N series including graphics. What is PVE you might ask? It's a Linux-based hypervisor that let's you run virtual machines and Linux containers (LXC). These N95/100 based systems are quite powerful for their power...

Upgrade the linux kernel. Anything newer than 6.2 should have Intel mainline driver available.

Re: Pushing the Performance Limit of AM08 Pro

I am curious how you get the GPU to run at 2600 MHz. Mine with 7735HS only goes up to 2200 MHz and stays there. I do find repasting with a better thermal compound helped tremendously. Dropped the temp by 6-8C and the frequency curve is a lot smoother. For another, mind to share how you disassembled...

Make something with the form factor like the Mac Studio with powerful cooling and good port selections. CPU power alone is meaningless if the CPU is crippled by filmsy thermal solution, or CPU fans running at 90 dB all the time. Make the chassis slightly bigger with beefier cooling to ensure the sys...

Re: GK3 Pro slow wifi

On a new GK3 Pro that I setup I was getting 20 mbps wifi download speeds when connected to my 400 mbps internet service. The router is on a different level so I know that I'm not going to get 400 download. However, I have been using two laptops on this level for about a year and they both consisten...

Re: Nvme M2 ssd with GK3 plus

The real performance gain comes from replacing a subpar no-name SATA to a brand name NVMe. As for the bandwidth, N95 chip only supports PCIe 3.0x1 to your x4 SSD, so the speed increase is mostly from 550 MB/s SATA to about 985 MB/s PCIe 3.0x1. More importantly, it's the random 4k QD1 performance tha...

Re: Kamrui/AceMagician AM08 Pro with AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS Review

Nice review Milkshake. From a form factor aspect, is the case basically the same dimensions as the ARM5? Sorry, I don't have the AMR5, but by the looks of it, I'd say the AM08 Pro is slightly bigger because the TDP of the chip is much higher than the one in AMR5. AMR5: 5.23 x 2.83 x 6.15 inches AM0...

Thanks, I did try the crucial advisor and it said something like unable to detect ram and give a recommendation. So would this work? www.amazon.com/Crucial-2x16GB-Laptop-Memory-CT2K16G4SFRA32A/dp/B08C4X9VR5/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=3200MT%2C+CL22+sodimm&qid=1686693220&sr=8-6&ufe=app_do%3Aamz...
